RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Chief Information Officer reports directly to the Superintendent and provides strong, collaborative, forward thinking and responsive leadership in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance and management of the District's technology programs and services.

Oversees development, implementation and maintenance of District Technology Plan and formulates and coordinates the Department's work plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required; master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in LAN/WAN design and administration.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chief Information Officer or similar position.
Experience in managing technology systems in a public sector organization, preferably a K-12 school system is desired.
Strong background and knowledge of software applications utilizing integrated database management architecture required.
