These were used less then 100 washes ever and were well kept in a high end home. 2 homes were combined and this set was no longer needed. We've washed king size comforters in this washer and dryer with no issues. there is no mold (like too many front loaders today - just NEVER use softener in it and you'll be fine!!!)
Yes, the set was purchased in 2006 right before Maytag was acquired by Whirlpool. There have been ZERO safety recalls for either Washer, Dryer, or pedestals.

there are no hoses with the washing machine at this moment. they were displaced in the move by the moving company. (need, cold, hot and discharge/drain hoses - though they may be found at any time and if so, will be included free.)
