Beautiful, antique solid Tennessee Red Cedar hope chest dating back to the early 1900s. This is a gorgeous, heavy statement piece passed down through my grandfather, featuring an eye-catching natural wood grain and stunning waterfall edge detail.
Features & Details:
Authentic Antique Construction: Features its original wooden caster wheels (casters) on the feet.
Solid Wood: Genuine, fragrant solid cedar throughout (not a cheap veneer). Unmarked/no manufacturer logo, typical of early local craftsmanship.
Dimensions: 45" W x 21” D x 18” H
Condition:
The interior is clean and retains that classic, aromatic cedar scent. I recently refinished the top lid to seamlessly fix an old water stain. There is a small, stable hairline crack on the lid that has been securely repaired (visible only upon close inspection—see photos). The lock is present but does not have the key.
