Purchased at UNIVERSITY BICYCLES and maintained by them for its nearly 20-year-old lifetime. I have kept the bike for all that time because it really is a piece of ART. For 18 years of it's life it was in cold storage.
Most recently, the BIANCHI was completely renewed. See attached Sales Receipt. I spent $413.00 renewing it. I rode it home and put it on display in my Living Room. I HAVE NEVER RIDDEN THE BICYCLE AFTER THAT.
The bike stops people in the street. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is. People call out from their cars, "Nice bike!" It has been the beginning of conversations every single time I have taken it for a spin. If you're a people person and you want to chat up smiling folks complimenting you, this is your bike. Whoever buys this beauty is going to get attention.
Show up for a Thursday Cruiser Ride. I swear, there will be friends waiting there to say, "FLY RIDE!" "WOW!" etc..
FULL DISCLOSURE: There is a wear hole in the seat that is under 1" in diameter. I would have replaced the seat but it's fine and the BIANCHI Red Leather version with integrated TAIL LIGHTS. You'll find some of the BIANCHI and MILANO lettering has some wear. Not much. The Chain Guard has a small crack in the black paint. She's gently used but everywhere that counts she's RARE and FINE!
I lowered the price to $700.00 for the BIANCHI Cafe Racer. There isn't another like it. It was made from 2 BIANCHI Cafe Racers and is completely signature. You'll see. It's worth every dime.
