Chief Field Operations Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Customer Relations Manager, Training Manager

The primary duties of this position (which we don't have a title for just yet) look a lot like a combination of all the above job titles. You will support our Stakeholders (formerly known as Employees) in the delivery of their daily services to our clients, providing a clear and clean work space. This occurs through a wide variety of day-to-day tasks, projects, programs and processes.

Better Business Cleaning, Inc. works specifically with commercial (and some industrial) entities all along the Front Range to help them use their business spaces to provide themselves and their employees with a clean, attractive, safe and productive work environment. We promote satisfaction and well-being as well as accomplishment for our clients AND our own Stakeholders.

We are facilities advisors, and service providers, supporting businesses in obtaining the best use and longest life from their buildings and furnishings. For our Stakeholders we are mentors, instructors and supporters.

We believe in Stakeholders who are bought in to what we're doing, not employees who punch clocks. We don't have office hours or vacation policies. We're not interested in whose car was in the parking lot first or who left last - we believe in working together as a committed community to get results for each other and our clients.

We do have a central office, but you will also find yourself working in the field. Your work location is determined by the needs of the business and is ever-changing.

If you like a fluid, growing, expanding organization that is local (and somewhat regional), and you enjoy developing processes and independently looking for ways to help the business flourish, we could be a good fit. If you are looking for a box within which you'll find a clear list of tasks to perform and set times to be "at work", please do not apply - we don't see life that way.

1.Looking for Quality
Finding what has gone right; looking over the handy work of our field staff and letting them know they have done well! Being a second set of eyes for them as well and discovering what has not turned out as planned; then figuring out why. Is it lack of proper tools, lack of training? Help us find out and correct. Be a cornerstone of our continuous improvement!

2.Being the Face of Our Business
Meet with our clients, so we know we are meeting their needs! Our relationship with our clients is the backbone of our business. Our clients want someone they can count on when they have a need or concern. You would insure we are being accountable and truly responding to their needs and concerns.

3.Supporting our Clients
Through your relationship with our clients and your knowledge of their facilities you would be instrumental in recommending additional, specialized cleaning. Your relationship with the clients would allow you to more intimately know when it is time to discuss carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, and other projects that will help them get the most from their facilities and furnishings.

4.Serving our Stakeholders
We believe nearly all folks want to do a great job and to be acknowledged for it. You would love to let our stakeholders know they are honored and valued. You would enjoy teaching, training, and equipping them. The best knowledge and the best tools = the best job done!

5.Sourcing more staff
By now you can see we are not just about bringing the best out of buildings; we are about bringing the best out of people! You would be enlivened by finding and fitting new stakeholders into new opportunities at Better Business Cleaning.

6.Performing a range of simple to complex office work
Entering contact info, updating information sheets, sending newsletters, helping out keeping schedules, adding/deleting/changing, printing, collating, assembling safety data sheets. Working with Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, maybe even casually with accounting software.

7.Helping us build our brand
Cleaning up formatting on documents, making training materials look more professional, making sure our information sheets and task lists stay updated, clean and professional, and taking instruction on producing new materials.

8.Not knowing exactly what every day will hold
Driving to many different buildings and locations in one part of the day, spending time in the office the next, taking and making calls, setting interviews and meeting and interviewing candidates in the office the next day, and so on....

9.Acting as if you own the company
Taking initiative and ownership, making decisions, thinking ahead and being proactive (we don't need "reactive"), working with others to constantly make things better and delivering better services every day. You have a strong belief in your abilities to accomplish tasks or goals and you take the initiative to come up with tasks and goals on your own.

10.Not working 9-5...
...but noon to 8 some days, 10 to 8 others, and from time to time what might be needed to take care of our clients and employees. We don't have schedules, we just need to schedule ourselves to the get the work that needs to be done completed

11.Working together
To work with other people in this committed community of Better Business Cleaning, to live well by doing good, and to take our clients and their employees, our stakeholders and ourselves, and this business to the next level!

Preferred skills:

•Applicants must have a wide range of administrative and communication skills as well as practical business skills

•Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing

•Competency in word processing, email, and spreadsheets

•Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities and projects

•Ability to logically solve problems with little to no supervision

•Strong attention to detail

•Initiative and the ability to figure things out on your own

•Comfortable with change and working in unknown situations

•Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information

•Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment

•Willingness to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

•A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done

•Ability to prioritize in a constantly changing environment
