Selling an older 1994 Geo Prizm. This was a joint venture between GM and Toyota, so this car is basically a Toyota Corolla (it used Toyota's engineering, engines, and parts while being sold at Chevrolet dealerships). This car definitely won't win any beauty contests, but I've owned it since 2003, and it genuinely might be the most reliable car ever made. These cars are known to have legendary engines and transmissions, so it's not uncommon to see them reaching 300,000+ miles!
The good:
The car starts right up every single time, even in the coldest temperatures
Fuel economy is actually great for an older car (27 city / 34 highway)
AC and heat work great
Extremely cheap to insure and maintain (and parts are available cheaply basically anywhere for repairs)
Timing belt and water pump replaced at 170,000 miles
The bad:
The car needs new rear struts. It's a front wheel drive car, so it still drives fine in town, but probably wouldn't be safe at highway speeds
There is a fair amount of cosmetic damage: peeling paint, cracked windshield (doesn't affect vision while driving), cracked bumper, broken door handles, some rust
This is an out-of-state car, so it's never had to have a CO emissions test. It would probably need some exhaust work to pass
If you're willing to do a little work on this car, it could be an extremely reliable daily driver for years to come!
