I am selling a 2008 Subaru WRX STI in color Aspen White. The hatchbacks are becoming quite rare, and this is actually the only Aspen White hatch I have ever seen in person, it’s gorgeous. This is my second STI, I previously owned a gray 2008 STI for over 10 years and spent forever looking for this one because I loved the last one so much. They have been very reliable and fun daily drivers for me, I have loved every minute of owning these cars. I am very reluctantly selling this one because I have developed a health issue that makes it more difficult for me to drive a manual.
Car includes the following upgrades and accessories:
• JVC KW-M785BW Carplay-enabled touch screen receiver, installed in September 2024 with new backup camera and hands free mic
• USB outlet for plug in Carplay connection installed in cigarette lighter
• Window tint
• Retractable cargo cover
• I have two sets of wheels (both OEM) and two sets of tires (one set of Blizzak snow tires and one set of all seasons) so I can just swap out wheels for summer/winter driving. Normally I would run summer tires and not all seasons, but I just haven’t gotten around to replacing the all seasons that came with this car when I bought it.
• Full set of Weathertech mats.
• Includes two regular keys and fobs plus one valet key.
• I purchased a Dr. Colorchip kit with the Aspen White touch up paint that I will include.
I purchased this car in 2024 from a dealership in Indiana. Because I bought it from a dealership, I don’t have any history on the car prior to purchasing it. However, here is what I have learned about the car and what I have done since purchasing it:
• It had a few modifications when I got it, including a Cobb tune on a v2 accessport, an AEM cold air intake, and a Perrin BOV. I have replaced the mods with OEM parts and removed the tune (I no longer have the accessport but it was so old Cobb no longer supports it anyway).
• I only learned after I bought it that the engine block is brand new and is not the original engine block, and the turbo was an aftermarket turbo. I suspect that the original engine block met its end when the prior owner blew the original turbo. I have replaced the aftermarket turbo it came with so it now has a brand new OEM turbo to go with the brand new engine block.
• I have replaced the timing belt, A/C compressor, drive belts, water pump, and radiator caps.
Other things to generally be aware of with this vehicle:
• This car has a 6 speed manual transmission.
• The car requires premium fuel (91 octane in Colorado).
• This car is not ideal as a commuter car due to the manual transmission and stiff suspension (although I did not mind it). However, it is great in the snow and a blast to drive in the mountains.
I have title in hand, there are no liens/loans outstanding. I will provide a clean emissions report prior to sale. Sold as is, no warranty. Cash only.
