Must enjoy biking and have some knowledge of bicycle maintenance.
You will stage ebikes at the meeting point and greet guests as they arrive, then make bike and helmet adjustments for each individual and show them how to operate the ebike. After a test ride you will take them on a 2-hour circuit of Boulder stopping at about 8 interesting sites along the way. At each site you will give a quick talk with interesting facts. You will have a basic outline and standard route, but your job is to conversationally tell the story of Boulder not just list bullet points. There are 2 tours a day at 10:30 and 1:30. Corporate team outings are on their own schedule, but you will have plenty of notice to sign up for those tours ($$!).
Pros: Guiding a safe and fun memorable experience through the highlights of our amazing city on ebikes is a very enjoyable gig. Also, in this era of tip saturation, people are usually very accommodating with gratuities for tour guides. You are their local friend for 2 hours!
Cons: You have to be available on the days/times you are scheduled to work until 2 hours before the tour start, if there are no tours booked that day/time you don't work and don't get paid.
This is a W-2 job. As such, you will be covered by the company liability policy should anything happen to a guest during your shift.
