A favorite fixture in Boulder since 1960, Frasier is an independent, non-profit (501(c)(3), mission driven, CARF accredited continuing care retirement community. We are growing and it isn’t just new (and greener) buildings! We are growing our programs and offerings both inside and outside our campus, implementing innovative methods to create community, and building on our culture of excellence.
The cook is responsible for preparing quality food items for residents and staff, following department policies, procedures and standards.
Shifts include: 6am-2:30pm and 10:45am-7:15pm.
We are continuing our hiring process during the COVID-19 pandemic. If selected, you will start as soon as you complete the hiring process (Background, Drug screen, and reference assessments)

Here is what you will need:
A minimum of one-year professional cooking experience, preferably in a health care setting
Excellent customer service skills essential
Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
Must have high school education or equivalent
Must have ability to work independently, making sound decisions
Must successfully pass organization required background screening
Must successfully complete organization health screening requirements
Here is what you will do:
Prepares menu items within allotted time period using appropriate standardized recipes.
Assures optimal quality, temperature and appearance of meals.
Adheres to special diet needs and is knowledgeable of allergen information.
Adheres to food safety and workplace safety standards, policies and procedures as regulated by department.
Ensures proper sanitation of kitchen and equipment following department standards, policies and procedures. Exercises proper use of all equipment.
Follows uniform guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range: $14 - 18 per hour (based on experience and education)
