Food Lab is looking for employees for a kitchen assistant position. 25-30 hours a week.

This role includes, but not limited to, assisting chef, dishes, cleaning and prep work. This is almost a mix of FOH and BOH since the position interacts with customers. The position requires someone with passion for hospitality, great people skills, great at following instructions and directions and knowledge of food, as you will be prepping. It also involves a lot of dishes. We are looking for someone to work seamlessly with the instructor without a lot of need for direction once they are settled in. Weekend availability is mandatory.
Essential Functions of the Position:
To serve as the assistant to the chef instructor during classes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Package food for virtual classes
Film virtual classes
Help set up for in person classes and events
Dishes, lots of them
Food prep work
Welcoming guest, pouring them drinks, socializing with them
Clean up, sweeping, mopping, general clean up
Keeping the kitchen clean and organized
• Ability to move quickly when needed
• Proactive, driver approach
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Diplomacy and political sensitivity
• Willingness to perform duties outside the job description
• 2 years minimum in the F&B industry
• Non-smoking office workspace
• Fast-paced, performance-oriented culture

• Work closely with chefs

Food Lab is a recreational cooking school in downtown Boulder that opened in December of 2015. Food Lab is a quickly growing small business that is centered around customer service, teaching cooking and having fun. There is a lot of room and potential for growth in any Food Lab position.
