Homozygous
Ermine Ameraucana rooster bred to a verity of blue egg layers, Welsummers, and White Leghorns hens
A chicken with two copies of the blue egg gene will consistently pass one copy to each offspring. When such a chicken is bred with a brown egg layer, their offspring will inherit one blue egg gene and one brown egg gene, resulting in the production of olive-colored eggs. This occurs because the blue pigment from the blue egg gene combines with the brown pigment deposited by the brown egg layer, creating the distinctive olive shade. When such a chicken is bred with a white layer, their offspring will inherit one blue egg gene and one white egg gene, resulting in the production of blue or light green
