I am currently looking for a living situation for me and my two horses (23-year-old gelding and 21-year-old mare). I would like to stay in the foothills or lower mountains of the Front Range in Colorado (Boulder and/or Larimer County) but am open to relocating if I am guided to a place that makes my heart happy.
For the past two years, I have been living on a small farm located between Broomfield and Lafayette, Colorado, where I help care for almost 30 animals, including horses, mini horses, mini donkeys, alpacas, a Highland steer, and multiple chickens, geese and turkeys. I assist the owner with daily farm chores, and when she travels (steadily from May-October), I am responsible for all the daily care. Although I love my life here, I’m looking to relocate to a more remote location, farther away from the city lights, noise and traffic to live more in harmony with nature.
I appreciate privacy and solitude, but would love to have people on a farm, animal sanctuary or homestead to connect with. I am hoping to find a home for my small family in a loving, nurturing, supportive situation where everyone can live fully and thrive as a result of our connection. I am retired, and love spending time with my horses, cooking, baking, and gardening. I am a quiet, mature, drama-free, spiritual being just looking for a place to call home.
I am looking for a place to settle that offers the peace and tranquility of nature. My needs are simple – a small, separate dwelling (not looking to share a house or rent a room), a fully-functioning kitchen, and a pasture and shelter for my horses. I would like to find a home that allows me to continue my participation in daily farm life; however, it’s not a requirement.
