The 90 degree angle grab bar consists of a 90 degree angle and offers horizontal and vertical hand support in one bar. These grab bars are also known as L-shaped grab bars, and are ideal for vertical movements, such as sitting or standing from a seated position. They are also usually placed at the front of the shower / bath control wall, facing the person in the shower. The vertical part of the grab bar is usually placed near the entrance, to act as an entry grab bar. L-shaped 90 degree grab bars are the second most popular grab bar utilized in a shower. All of these grab bars are in stock and ready to ship!
What is the difference between Left Hand and Right Hand?
You will notice that you have the option to select “Left Hand” or “Right Hand” under the “Direction” selection above. Both options are mirrored versions of one another. The Left Hand version is usually placed at the front of the shower/tub control wall when the entrance is from the left. The Right Hand version is usually placed at the front of the shower/tub control wall when the entrance is from the right. The vertical part of the bar is generally used as an entry bar at the entrance of the shower, to prevent slips and falls when entering and exiting the shower / tub – which is why most people choose the version that will place this vertical side of the bar nearest the entrance. There is no right or wrong choice here, it solely comes down to a matter of preference to where you want the vertical bar to be placed.
