OVERVIEW:
I have an active Boulder County building permit for a basement finish and am seeking bids from Boulder County–licensed Class C : (One & two-family residential) Drywall Contractors who are available within the next month.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRST RESPONSE:

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS (PROOF REQUIRED BEFORE WORK BEGINS):
• General Liability Insurance – minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence; must cover property damage and bodily injury; homeowner must be listed as Additional Insured
• Workers’ Compensation Insurance (if you employ others)
• Contractor’s Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance
• Faulty Workmanship Endorsement (covering repair/replacement of defective work)
EXPERIENCE & REFERENCES:
• Gallery or portfolio of completed drywall projects
• References for projects completed within 50 miles of Boulder
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Hang and finish drywall to Boulder County code
• Match existing home texture
• Contractor provides all tools and equipment
• PDF drawings with dimensions available to licensed contractors upon request
• Work is permitted and subject to Boulder County inspections.
• Wallboard inspection required after hanging and before finishing (due to enclosed closet area)
COMPENSATION:
• Preferred: Fixed-price bids based on labor and materials
• Also considered: Fixed-price square-footage-based bids or labor-only bids
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
IF MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED:
• 20% upon delivery of materials to site
• 40% after successful wallboard inspection
• 40% upon satisfactory completion of finishing
FOR LABOR‑ONLY BIDS:
• 50% after successful wallboard inspection
• 50% upon satisfactory completion of finishing
