I am here to help! My name is Arpi. I am a proud alum of CU Boulder, where I received a Master's in Physics and a Bachelor's in Physics and Math. I have 7+ years of experience as a private tutor and I have worked with students enrolled in middle school, high school, introductory college courses, online college courses, and advanced college courses. While I was a student, I received additional training and experience by tutoring for various centers across CU Boulder's campus, including 4 years at the Math Academic Resource Center and 2 years at the College of Engineering and Applied Science's BOLD Center. I was a teaching assistant for PHYS 1110 (General Physics 1) and APPM 2350 (Calculus 3 for Engineers). I was also an instructor for CU Boulder's Upward Bound Program, where I taught high school students modern cosmology by devising interactive demonstrations.
After working 2.5 years as an Analyst at Southwest Research Institute's San Antonio campus, I decided to move back to the Boulder area.
I am passionate about helping others understand physics and math to achieve their goals!
I am now open to students for Summer and Fall 2026. Middle School, High School, Introductory College, and Upper Division/Advanced College Courses. I can meet at a place of your choosing. I am based in Longmont but I can reach Boulder, Louisville, Superior, Broomfield, Lafayette, Loveland, and more. Virtual/Online sessions are also available. I am also a writing tutor.
Please don't hesitate to call, text, or email me to learn more! I am happy to answer any questions you have.
More About Me:
For my graduate research work, I studied simulations of plasma accretion around black holes and calculated predictions for upcoming Event Horizon Telescope observations. While an undergraduate student, I worked as a research assistant at NIST where I helped test the detector array for telescopes that primarily observe the Cosmic Microwave Background.
I enjoy sharing cool facts about physics and astrophysics with others; you are welcome to ask me anything and I will give my best answer.
I am passionate about building community in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) spaces where everyone, regardless of background, thrives. While a graduate student, I coached undergraduate leaders of various engineering student groups housed within the BOLD Center at CU Boulder's College of Engineering and Applied Science.
