Vintage 1983 Hamer Phantom A-5. Originally designed for Andy Summers‎ from his Police days. I stripped the very worn black finish and cleaned the wiring. Added Bubinga to the pick guard to help eliminate static from the plastic guard, light wood to the headstock, curly walnut truss rod cover. Truss rod works as it should. Everything else is stock. Triple humbucker at the bridge, single coil at the neck. It has a phase switch, acts somewhat like a coil splitter. Frets are in good shape. Floyd Rose Tremolo System. Low action with 10's. Comfortable neck. Looks, sounds and plays great.
(The decal serial number was worn off when I got the guitar. 1983 was the year these had the snake head headstock.)
Solid one piece Mahogany Body and Neck through. Most people think it's a custom built guitar. I've had it for about 20 years. It doesn't get enough attention anymore and I need the cash for other gear. It had a pro setup several years ago and sat in the case all this time. Comes with a gig bag.
