1959 Kay Pacer 6550 - Hollowbody - With like new hard shell case - $1100.. Firm.
1959 Kay Pacer 6550 Hollowbody made in Chicago, with DeArmond speed bump pickups.
Rosewood fretboard with guitar pick shaped mother of pearl inlays.
The guitar has a beautiful tonal quality that seasoned wood can only give.
I made the current pick guard / finger rest out of oiled flamed walnut. Replaced tuners with period correct Kluson tuners from Stewmac, the old tuners and original white plastic pick guard included. Strung with flat wounds.
Back and sides are flame maple. It had a neck reset before I purchased it about 8 years ago.
There are a few imperfections for a 66 year old guitar, but I doubt that there is another one in this original condition. It is still beautiful, plays wonderfully and has collectability. I was going to change the pots, wiring, switch and input jack, but decided to keep it original.
I'm downsizing my collection and this one will be missed.
Cash and local pickup only.
