This is a vintage unit that encodes and decodes DBX Type II noise reduction usually used for audio tape. It's a two channel unit, in other words, works with stereo signals. Uses RCA inputs and outputs. A fairly straight-forward unit. Can be used to decode the DBX signal in order to transfer old audio tapes encoded with DBX TYPE II to a digital format using additional equipment and software, of course. Hope that makes sense.
