This is a Dusty Strings D550 hammered dulcimer, designed by Sam Rizzetta. It would cost $3275 if purchased new without any of the extras included here. It was made for champion hammered dulcimer artist Bonnie Carol of The Motherfolkers, who played it in concert for many years before selling it to me. It has 3 3/4 octaves, 3 1/2 of them chromatic, with an 8 course SuperBass bridge on the left-hand side. It comes with these extras: an excellent sturdy wooden stand, original dampers, abalone inlay, original owner's manual and string chart, set of 25-30 replacement strings, tuning wrench, and like-new padded soft zippered case.
