If you make a post looking for players in specific genres of music and someone replies with sincere interest, it is respectful and professional to acknowledge receipt of an email, and reply to that email.
How about a reply with something like; Hey, got your email and we'll keep you informed on when and where we can meet up, or sorry man we just feel you wouldn't be a fit. If you have more questions, or, need samples, just ask.
This is better than getting ghosted and wondering if the post was just a scam.
Maybe give this some thought.
