Great for someone just getting into flash photography. This is a pretty basic speedlight, but it is plenty powerful and will work for all day shoots on one set of batteries (it takes 4 AA batteries, so you should pick up some rechargeable AAs). It has a fully articulating head and a built in bounce card, as well as a removable diffuser. It lacks a radio trigger or HSS, so you won't be able to use it for more advanced flash photography, but it's good for learning the basics. There are scratches from one time when I dropped my camera with the flash attached. Everything still works fine, but there is a very slight wobble in the base.
