At Juniper Paints we are looking for a store manager who can lead a high-performing neighborhood paint store that consistently grows sales, delivers exceptional customer service, and operates smoothly day-to-day—while maintaining a respectful, hardworking, and enjoyable workplace.
Duties
1. Run the Store as the Operational Hub
Ensure the store is fully staffed, organized, stocked, and ready to serve customers every day
Take responsibility for daily operations, solving problems as they arise without deferring upward
Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional retail environment that looks like the employees are proud to work there
2. Deliver Outstanding Customer Experience
Personally engage with customers and set the tone for friendly, knowledgeable service
Resolve rare customer issues quickly, fairly, and independently
Create an environment where customers want to return and recommend the store
3. Execute the Work, Not Just the Sale
Lead by example in completing the physical work of the business—tinting, shaking, and loading paint
Maintain productivity through busy periods, including after closing sales
Balance sales ambition with operational follow-through
4. Communicate Reality with Accuracy and Integrity
Provide clear, honest reporting on store performance, challenges, and opportunities
Surface problems early and propose practical solutions
Act as a trusted operator who reflects what is actually happening in the business

Qualifications
Proven management experience in retail or grocery stores.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills; Spanish skills are helpful.
Experience with retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and inventory control.
Experience with POS systems, cashiering, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures.
Ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives and shift management.
Knowledge of merchandising, stock replenishment, marketing strategies, and wireless sales is advantageous.
Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred; leadership qualities such as motivation and problem-solving are essential.
Pay: $57,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
