We are music-loving, bachelor engineers who make our own hummus. We are not heavy drinkers, although we do like to throw 1-2 large parties a year. We're in our early 30s, at the age where the past couple parties have had small children. We are good friends, and like to have mutual friends stop by (which usually happens when they drive to town for trail runs). But we don't have any conscientious roommate community--no scheduled cleaning or regular communal meals. We do like to have guests over for house dinners, board games, or setting up the projector for movie night. There is also a house cat who would rather hide under a car than play with the other cats.
