About Rachel (41F) and Brandon (40M):
We’re friendly, nerdy, crunchy creative professionals who’ve been partners in life and business for over a decade. We run a crystal jewelry studio in the Nobo arts district and are passionate about wellness and creativity. Outside of work we’re into film/TV, yoga, hiking, cooking, sauna/cold plunge, music, and reading. Brandon is an avid climber and Magic: The Gathering fan who loves documentaries and stand-up. Rachel enjoys weird arthouse cinema, gardening, and cat memes.
About Ivory (31F):
Ivory is a creative and thoughtful housemate who works in the service industry and keeps a mostly nocturnal schedule (always respectfully). She’s into music, art, yoga, and indie horror, and often fills the house with amazing smells of broth and spices. She is conscientious, friendly, and a genuine joy to live with.
About You:
We’re hoping to find a kind, conscientious, and tidy non-smoker who values a peaceful home where everyone feels seen and supported. We’d prefer someone who is sober or keeps substance use occasional and low-key. Because one housemate is sensitive to fragrance and smoke, we ask that you either already use, or are willing to switch to, unscented personal care and cleaning products (like shampoo, deodorant, lotion, detergent, etc.). We know this can be a big shift so we’re happy to offer suggestions to help ease the transition.
About the Vibe:
We are committed to open communication, honoring of boundaries, and mutual respect. Shared spaces are kept tidy, warm, and welcoming- lived-in but cared for. We’re LGBTQIA-friendly, sex positive, omnivorous, and a bit unconventional. We’re ambiverts who lean introvert: we enjoy being social, but also appreciate alone time and will respect yours. We love occasional movie nights, game nights, and dinner parties, but overall prefer a mellow atmosphere. We believe home should be a sanctuary, so we’re interested in cultivating a friendship with our housemates to co-create a nourishing space that truly feels like home.
