Rent: $1,350/month, $1,350 deposit. Utilities run $90 to $150.
The space: A south-facing bedroom with a walk-in closet and attached bath (with a tub). Plus a second legal bedroom of the same size — office, studio, whatever you need. Both get great light and look out at trees and foothills. Can come partially furnished (queen bed and a few pieces) or empty, your call.
The house: Four bed, two bath. You'd share it with me (I'm upstairs) and one very good cat. Sorry, no dogs. Full kitchen, lots of storage, cozy living room with no TV in it. The deck looks out over about two acres of forested foothills, and there's usually wildlife to watch.
Trails start at the front door — you can walk to Wonderland Lake and North Broadway. Downtown is a 10-minute drive, 15 to 20 on an e-bike. You'll need a car up here, ideally AWD for the winters. There's also a basement apartment with its own entrance, and the person there is great. We all share laundry and the garage.
About me: I'm 37, work a hybrid job on normal hours, and I'm pretty lowkey. I hike, I cook, and most of my social life happens outside the house. Home is my sanctuary, but I like having someone around to connect with.
Who I'm hoping for: Someone grounded and communicative. Clean, eco-conscious, not a partier. Someone who respects the land and takes wildfire risk seriously.
