Unfurnished 8x10 room has wood laminate floor, ceiling fans, cellular light blocking shade, USB charging ports, hyper efficient mini-split heat pump for individual room heating/cooling, tenant selected keypad (no keys!) and walls painted in Navajo White. Security deposit equal to the first month rent; installments are possible if needed. Lease is month by month unless requested differently. Rent increases $50 every January. Utilities except for phone and television included. Housemates share buying paper products, foil, SodaStream CO2 refills, and cleaning supplies (optional).
The rent for this upstairs 8x10 room in Lafayette (preference for a non registrant male) includes utilities except for phone and TV. Seven percent (7%) discount if you pay 6 months or more in advance. A 32” smart TV is mounted on the bedroom wall; the wall mount will support up to 70” TV if you want to replace it. The bedroom has some built in shelving with an additional shared hallway closet for storage.
The home uses solar electric, including a heat pump hot water heater. EV charging with a L2 charger optional (TBD monthly electrical surcharge depending on vehicle). Gardening space available. We compost outside, using indoor electric dehydrator/grinder as needed - we love our watermelon! We don’t have a TV in the common areas but we do offer a self-moving chess board and electric fireplace.
Air mattresses sold at cost if the tenant does not have a new mattress; no used stored mattresses allowed for bedbug prevention reasons. This is a non-treatment shared home with two washers, two dryers, dishwasher, and two refrigerators. The townhouse has blown cellulose insulation in walls and attic, subscribing 100% to a community solar garden for electricity. WiFi 6 available.
Garage space not available. Bikes can be locked in a gated side yard. Pet free (and we don’t want one for allergies). If you reply to this ad please include “No pets” in your message to show you read this far. Expect one or two potlucks per year using 10-seat dining table or side yard (BBQ). Not a party house & definitely NOT 4/20 friendly. We all have busy lives and appreciate peace & quiet.
The tri-level 4 BR 3.5 BA townhouse (part of triplex) has a heat pump mini-split in each bedroom for individual cooling/heating control. Almost private full bathroom shared with one male housemate trucker gone about 10 months per year. The other two housemates have their own private bathrooms and additionally there is a guest bathroom next to main floor kitchen.
Two male housemates use scented laundry products and the third only unscented. It is a felon friendly non-smoking, non-vaping, non-drinking omnivore household. We are a very stable (4 years since last housemate) household and seek an easy going, considerate, clean, resilient, little drama, and communicative housemate. Because of our schedules, you may often find yourself alone in the house but we also want to have some occasional fun at movies, meals, or walks together.
