We have one or two team openings on our livestock and dairy farm. We provide housing in exchange for you fulfilling morning chores six mornings a week. Chores start around sun-up and include maintaining the farm, working with livestock, and helping on projects as needed (around 2-4 hours/day give or take). Must be available mornings and weekends. We prefer a minimum month commitment but are open to shorter and longer term volunteers, if it's a good fit. The available housing options are fairly basic and small, but things shift around so that could change. Note:
*Work requires an ability to lift and move heavy weights.
*We might be open to people with trailers/vans.
We're a small, fun, relatively mature crew who value hard work, flexibility, relative sobriety (no hard drugs or hard drinker!), and community. It'd be awesome to have someone with a kitchen/cooking background (love of cleaning a big plus). Other skills are great too. But the main thing that's required is a good attitude and ability to work towards the farm's flourishing.
Drop us a line, briefly tell us what you're about. Please provide answers to the following (if you don't answer, we can't promise a response):
*Age
*Pets (note we already have four dogs)
*Vehicle situation (car, truck, feet)
*Any diet or allergy info (we primarily deal in, and eat, animal products, so may not be ideal for vegetarians and vegans)
*Phone number
Thanks!
PS We routinely update and re-publish this post since our needs and availability ebb and flow.
