Machine 1 — 32GB RAM, ready to go
2.6GHz 6-core Intel i7, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD. Powerful enough for heavy multitasking, photo and video work, and big spreadsheets without slowing down. Fully signed out and ready to set up as new.
Two things, already reflected in the price: a small cosmetic ding on the outer lid (photos included, no effect on the screen or anything else), and a tired battery that lasts a few hours unplugged (I just tested the battery and it dropped from 100% to 89% in 1-hour not plugged in). Run it on power or drop in a fresh battery. Everything else works great.
Machine 2 — 16GB RAM, desktop workstation
Identical model, 2.6GHz 6-core Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a strong battery. I've run this one for years as a plugged-in desktop driving four monitors, and it works great in that role. Two things to know: the built-in screen is cracked and doesn't display at all, so it's external-monitors-only (which is how I've used it for 3-years), and it still has Activation Lock from the previous owner, so it can't be wiped but you can set up a fresh user (which is exactly what I did). It runs fine as-is on external displays. Perfect as a dedicated desktop, home server, or always-on second machine.
