This was my old gaming rig for many years. When the original power supply failed, I took the opportunity to build a new computer. However, all the original parts were still good, so I eventually bought a new power supply (along with a better CPU cooler and new NVMe drive) and put everything in a new case. I paid attention to cable management, and the end result is very clean and professional. There are over $300 of new parts in this machine!
The case is especially nice, with a color-shifting front panel and USB/audio ports located on the top. The glass side panel is simple and understated, but you can still see all the pretty LEDs and it lets you quickly check the condition of the interior (yes, dust builds up in computers, you'll want to clean every so often). The fans, front panel, and GPU are ARGB controllable via a Nollie 8 controller; you can use your choice of software to interface with this. I personally used Open RGB, but it should work with Signal RGB as well. You can also disable all the LEDs via one of the above programs if RGB isn't your thing.
Okay, so it looks neat, but how's the performance? Glad you asked! I ran FurMark 2 benchmarks at 1080p and 4k resolutions (results are in the pictures). Average of 163 FPS for 1080p, 54 FPS for 4k. You should be able to play almost any recent AAA release in 1080p, and many older games (pre-2021 or so) should be playable in 1440p or 4k. You should see decent results in VR too, depending on the game. I've only ever played Beatsaber, but it worked very well. It's not the latest and greatest hardware, but if you're not looking to spend $2-3k on a machine you'll be very happy!
Currently has Windows 10 LTSC freshly installed. I've also run the standard scripts to remove telemetry and bloatware. Microsoft Edge has been removed and I've installed Waterfox in its place. All ASUS drivers are also installed. This is the lightest version of Windows 10 you can get, and still plays modern games fine (better than Windows 11). Of course, you can always install your own OS. I personally have used CachyOS, Bazzite, and Windows 10 and 11 over the years, and all worked fine.
Note that this is for the desktop computer, power cord, and WiFi antenna ONLY. I will also include the original boxes for the power supply and case if you want them. No other hardware shown in the pictures is included. This means you'll need to provide your own monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc.
Price is firm at $650; any less than that and I'd make more money parting it out on eBay. Cash only. I cannot deliver, but if you're coming up to Nederland I can at least point out some good places to eat. Email me first; once I'm sure you're not a scammer I will provide my phone number if that's easier for you. If the ad is still up, the computer is still for sale!
