Choker the anchor straps around suitable anchor points like scaffold rails, beams, rebar, etc. to provide an anchor point for your lifeline.
Or, since these are short straps, they can also used as harness-to-lanyard extension. If you have a hard time reaching behind your back to clip your lanyard to your dorsal D-ring, you can choker one of these straps to the D-ring and make the attachment without reaching back.
