Vintage Stanley Handyman H1204 smooth plane (some say smoothing plane, or Number 4 plane) in very good conditon, and sharp.
Made in the USA.
Probably about 50 years old, this plane has all of its components in great working order, with no damage or rust.
You can tell this plane was valued by an experienced user, because a precise hollow grind was applied to business end of the cutting iron, which makes it easier and much faster to touch up the edge.
This plane utilizes a classic Bailey-type frog for adjusting the position of the iron and the desired mouth clearance for shavings, and features a lateral adjustment lever, and a wooden knob and tote.
A vintage, ready to use smooth plane.
