We are a growing wildfire mitigation company looking for a dependable, hard-working team member to join our crew. This position can be seasonal through the summer or develop into a long-term role for the right person.
This is not a typical landscaping job. We perform wildfire mitigation, forest thinning, and fuels reduction projects throughout Colorado using specialized equipment and forestry techniques. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a small team that takes pride in high-quality work.
Primary Responsibilities
● Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently
● Operate a tracked wood chipper
● Drive a truck and dump trailer to haul slash and wood chips
● Fell and process trees using a chainsaw
● Move and pile woody material on project sites
● Assist with general wildfire mitigation and forest thinning operations
● Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Requirements
● Experience operating a skid steer
● Experience felling trees and operating a chainsaw safely
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day
● Ability to hike and work on steep, uneven terrain
● Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
● Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience operating a tracked chipper
● Experience towing dump trailers
● CDL is a plus but not required
● Forestry, logging, tree service, or wildfire mitigation experience
Schedule
● Monday through Thursday
● Typical schedule is 40 hours per week
● Occasional overtime opportunities on Fridays
