Tired of jumping from one 1099 job to the next, chasing down work, waiting on callbacks, bidding every project, and wondering where the next job is coming from?
We’re a professional Boulder remodeling company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovations. We’re hiring an experienced In-House Tile Installer to join our team full-time.
This is not a piecework subcontractor position. This is a steady, full-time W-2 employee role for someone who wants consistent work, a professional team, office support, and the opportunity to grow beyond just the next tile job.
We’re looking for someone who understands that great tile work starts long before the first tile is set: layout, substrate prep, waterproofing, flatness, slope, protection, clean cuts, clean grout lines, and a finished product that looks intentional.
This position pays $40–$45+/hour, depending on experience, skill level, reliability, quality of work, and overall fit.
Do Tile Work You Can Be Proud Of — With a Team That Supports You
We expect high-quality tile work, but we also believe good installers should not have to carry everything alone.
You won’t be responsible for chasing leads, selling jobs, managing every client expectation by yourself, or trying to fill gaps in your schedule. Our office and project team help keep the work organized so you can focus on excellent tile installation and professional growth.
Our team helps with:
~ Project planning and scheduling
~ Client communication and updates
~ Material selections and ordering
~ Tile, grout, trim, and setting material coordination
~ Jobsite documentation through JobTread
~ Trade partner coordination
~ Change orders and administrative support
~ Clear project expectations before you begin
Your job is to focus on excellent tile installation, communicate what you need, protect the client’s home, and help bring the project across the finish line.
You bring the tile skill and attention to detail. We bring the planning, communication, and support to help you succeed.
Opportunity to Learn, Grow, and Move Up
This role is primarily for tile installation, but we are a full-service remodeling company. When we are between tile projects, you will have the opportunity to stay busy, learn other trades, and become a more well-rounded remodeler.
Depending on your experience and interest, you may have the opportunity to learn and help with:
~ Jobsite protection and prep
~ Demo
~ Framing
~ Drywall prep and patching
~ Trim carpentry
~ Cabinet installation support
~ Door and hardware installation
~ Punch list work
~ General kitchen, bath, and whole-home remodel tasks
We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, not just fill a short-term position. For the right person, this role can grow into more responsibility over time, including lead remodeler, field supervisor, project manager, or beyond.
If you want to keep improving, learn more of the remodeling process, and grow with a professional company, this could be a strong fit.
What You’ll Do
As our In-House Tile Installer, you’ll work on bathrooms, showers, floors, backsplashes, fireplaces, and other tile scopes within high-quality residential remodels.
You’ll be expected to:
~ Install tile in bathrooms, showers, kitchens, floors, backsplashes, and remodel projects
~ Perform proper prep before installation
~ Understand layout, pattern planning, centering, transitions, and finish details
~ Install waterproofing systems correctly
~ Build or work with shower pans, niches, benches, curbs, and slopes
~ Set tile cleanly and accurately
~ Make clean cuts around fixtures, trim, corners, and transitions
~ Grout, caulk, clean, and complete punch details
~ Maintain clean and organized work areas
~ Protect floors, surfaces, materials, and client property
~ Work professionally in occupied homes
~ Communicate clearly with project leads, the office, and clients when needed
~ Document job progress through JobTread
~ Training is provided, but willingness to use the system is required.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has real tile installation experience and takes pride in the details.
The right person has experience with:
~ Shower tile installation
~ Bathroom tile installation
~ Floor tile
~ Kitchen backsplashes
~ Waterproofing systems
~ Substrate prep
~ Layout and pattern planning
~ Niches, benches, curbs, transitions, and trim details
~ Grouting, caulking, and clean finish work
~ Working in occupied residential homes
You should understand that tile work is highly visible and unforgiving. Small details matter. Layout matters. Prep matters. Cleanliness matters. Communication matters.
This Role Is a Good Fit If You
~ Are tired of chasing down your own work
~ Want steady full-time W-2 employment instead of bouncing between 1099 jobs
~ Take pride in clean, high-quality tile work
~ Care about layout, symmetry, flatness, waterproofing, and finish details
~ Know how to prep properly instead of covering up problems
~ Want to work with one professional remodeling company
~ Like having clear planning and office support behind you
~ Want the opportunity to learn other trades
~ Want a path toward more responsibility over time
~ Are interested in growing into a lead, project manager, or larger company role
~ Communicate well with project leads and team members
~ Can work independently without being micromanaged
~ Are open to feedback and committed to getting better
~ Want to be part of a long-term team
Requirements
You must have:
~ Strong tile installation experience
~ Professional-grade tile tools
~ Reliable transportation
~ Clean, organized work habits
~ A full-time schedule available: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
~ A professional attitude with clients, coworkers, and trade partners
~ The ability to work as part of a team
~ A commitment to quality, cleanliness, and jobsite protection
~ Willingness to help with other remodeling tasks when needed
This is a full-time W-2 employee position. We are not hiring part-time workers or 1099 subcontractors for this role.
Pay
This position pays $40–$45+/hour, depending on experience, skill level, reliability, quality of work, and overall fit.
Highly skilled installers who bring exceptional quality, consistency, speed, communication, leadership, and willingness to grow may be able to earn more over time.
