Job Description:
We are a custom metal fabrication company which specializes in engineering and designing creative, aesthetic mixed media projects with a focus on steel. We are looking for a skilled metal fabricator or experienced trim carpenter (training is similar) to join our team!
The position requires a skilled individual with a positive attitude that can pay attention to detail and possesses personal accountability. We need someone who has worked in the decorative metal industry before or has been involved with highly detailed trim carpentry and has a knowledge of the same math and layout skills, and most importantly the prophecies to build custom products with high end finishes.
Skills needed:
~General knowledge of construction and metal fabrication
~Metal joining: MIG welding, TIG and Stick a plus but not required, angle grinders, small hand tools: cutting and drilling into steel and other metal components.
~Experience with installations. Installations are the most difficult and detail-oriented aspect of this job. Experience with on-site problem solving and running a crew of workers is a HUGE plus. A very keen eye is needed for quality and pride in installing super cool products you create is essential.
~Ability to measure precisely taking numbers from architectural and mechanical prints.
~Basic computer skills.
~Basic construction machinery experience preferred but not required: forklift, truck, telehandler, and etc.
